Meet Ben, an affable guy, loved by friends. He was off to a local bar, a little earlier than usual.
Why?
His favorite beer in hand, he settled in. Everyone knew Ben, but tonight there was an unusual intensity in his laughter.
As the night wore on, the refills came quicker. Ben, normally the life of the party, was now unusually quiet.
What changed?
His friends grew concerned, his glass never empty. An intervention was needed
but would it come in time?
Ben shrugged off his friends, his speech slurred. 'I’m fine,' he mumbled, stumbling towards his car.
Could he really drive?
Vision blurred, he weaved down the road. Each streetlight passed was a victory, but
how long could he keep this up?
Suddenly, a ball bounced onto the road. Ben swerved, his car skidded, everything spun.
Would he make it?
Waking in a hospital, he learned it was a close call. But it wasn't his time.
Would this change him?
Back home, he found his car keys where he left them, his untouched beer.
Was he ready to face the truth?
Looking at his reflection, he saw a man on the edge. This was his wake-up call.
But would Ben answer it?
